into joining the ACC IF they decide to join a conference. Unless ND has drastically changed it’s position behind the scenes, this does nothing except if somehow they fall in love with ACC this year, I suppose, and willingly forgo independence even they don’t have to.

Again, ACC is saving ND here with more games while also giving them more money (coming out of ACC AD budgets), and allowing them to compete for conference title. Hoping there is something going with ND-ACC that the public does not know.
