Not complaining about your inference at all
I see your computation as an effort to make sense of the situation -- and I absolutely appreciate that. Just pointing out that your inference is based on a media report that may be inaccurate in a very fine line manner. Certainly doesn't devalue your observation, and that wasn't my intent. Sorry if I wasn't clear there.
If you and WBTV are correct in your inferences, that's great. We have a benchmark. But if there is a difference in semantics between "cases" and "persons" then the report is still valuable. It just becomes something akin to a current worst case scenario.
Again, no intent to offend and apologies if that is the effect. We are all fellow travelers on this particular road.
