Blacksburg town council just voted in STRICTER Covid restrictions…

According to WDBJ7:

-All food establishments must close by midnight

-Indoor business capacity is limited to just 50 percent of maximum occupancy

-Gatherings are limited to no more than 50 people

-All people must wear masks when out in a public setting

Violators of the ordinance are subject to a Class 4 Misdemeanor and $250 fine.

The town probably should have put this stuff in place earlier than the week students are returning.

I REALLY don’t like this line: All people must wear masks when out in a public setting.

Not because I am against masks or anything, but because it is such a vague statement. What is a public setting? Outside their private residence? Only in Town limits? When in view of people outside? when only 6 ft away? It needs to be written clearer… especially for the police officers trying to enforce it. Sucks for them.
