I have. That was on a Bike Virginia I dunno, 15 years ago?

I was kinda confused because I remembered a right turn and going south the trail split going to the left. D'oh! finally figured it out, we came FROM Fries headed downriver and took the right. Yeah, it was pretty cool the way it appeared to be cut through the rocks heading up to Galax. Pretty good climb though, I am tempted to do that "next time." There was a guy on our hall in Pritchard in '74 who was from Fries, oh yeah, always known about the Galax Fiddlers convention but never been. :^/

I think one stop of BV was in Ferrum had an interesting conversation about uh, moon shining at an exhibit at some sort of festival, it was interesting, eg, Ferrum once had three car dealerships for a pretty small town. Anyway, lotta fun.
