Even in normal years, there are only 11.7 scholarships available that ....


can be split among 27 players with 35 roster spots. I have no idea how accurate the numbers on Prep Baseball Report (PBR) are, but it shows VT with 12 commits for 2022; 12 for 2021; 16 for 2020; and 21 for 2019. That's a total of 61 over 4 years!!! Only 27 can be on any level of scholarship, and only 35 can make the normal roster.

Let's say I have a kid who wants to play at VT. Those numbers would be concerning to me when I am looking for a school that says it is as committed to my kid as my kid is to the school.

Am I missing something????
