Mom had a hip (and knee) replaced. Not the same as a fall I know. But she


would tell you that working at your rehab is key. So it's important for you to encourage your father to work on his rehab. If you're local, talk to the therapist and see if there's exercises you can do to add to what he's getting in therapy (not sure if that's possible in COVID environment, but somehow keep engaged on what specific exercises he's supposed to do, how often, etc.).

In the COVID environment, being stuck in a nursing home room with likely no external visitors is a real downer. Have family members call him just to chat. Take advantage of any socially distanced visitation opportunities. See what kind of personalization you can do for his room - digital picture frame loaded with family pictures, favorite chair from home, etc.
