We used to ride out from town on our 26" up & over then down into Pandapus.

Then back up the horse trail to head back. I used to be able to climb both without stopping...I seriously doubt I could do that now with my 27.5 full suspension, but my old bike was way lighter than current versions with all of the suspension & shifter upgrades. My old bike was a Paramount 70 with Shimano XT...no suspension. New/latest bike is a Dimondback Reflex Carbon with Fox 36 front and Fox rear shock...27.5+. Night and day when it comes to geometry and ride. I still have my old PD70.
