Personally, I don't see ND joining the ACC for a long time, if ever. But, if they did decide to take the ACC plunge, it seems they would want to keep the 8 game ACC schedule so they can play the out of conference rivals they have traditionally played. However, many people, myself included, would like to see the ACC increase the number of conference games from eight to either 9 or 10. The reason for this increase is because some conference opponents don't get to play but once every six years, and that doesn't really feel like you are in the same conference. I know some suggest a pod system which allows you to play every team every 3 years, but the drawback is that most conference teams you only get to play once every 3 years. Its hard to consider teams a rival, or consider it a real conference, when you only play most teams in your conference once every three years.

So, just for fun, here is the question. If you had two options to pick from for the ACC, which would you choose.

Option 1: expand to 16 teams adding ND and the non P5 school of you choice, but you have to stay at 8 conference games per season. Arrange it however you want, divisions, pods, or one giant group.

Option 2: Stay at 14 teams, and expand to 10 conference games per year. This option maintains the 5 ND verses ACC teams arrangement.

I surprised myself. Actually, I think I would prefer the 10 conference games. I have gotten used to the idea of ND not joining. I like the 5 ND games annually for the ACC. I would prefer the 10 conference games to ND joining.
