We looked at growing grapes a couple of decades ago


on the family former tobacco farm. We did some research and basically everyone told us to grow cheap grapes, make bad wine, and slap a cool label on it the said made in Virginia. That was the path to a sustainable business. Making french varietals and award winning wines seem not to be as lucrative

Chateau Morrissette does some not so great wines and some very nice wines. I wonder what the margins are on each.
