run in with the law was a 13 dollar parking ticket from 23 years ago when I parked on the wrong side of the road in a residential area when my high school's parking lot was full. I'm sure a neighbor called the cops on us. It was a street that ended in the woods with no houses at the end of the street. 5 of us parked pointed towards the woods, not in front of any houses. Because mine was the car parked against the curb on the left hand side of the street, I got the ticket. Actually, I think the ticket was 10 bucks, but I paid it late and had to pay a 3 dollar late fee. Officer E. Lightfoot. Still remember the name.

All that said, I have no interest in a gun. I have no issue with folks that want one and own one or more. My Uncle owns several including at least 1 pistol and a bunch of hunting rifles. I just know that I'd likely Barney Fife myself in the foot before I could fend off any agressors.
