Alarm clock recommendations? My old alarm clock bit the dust a few weeks

ago. So my wife bought me a nice one from Target. The problem is the LED display is extremely bright. It has 4 levels, but even the lowest level lights up the whole room.
I like the fact that it connects to bluetooth so I can listen to my music when I wake up, but other than that It's only needed for an alarm clock.
I've been using my phone, but I also would like a clock so I can easily see what time it is in the middle of the night....I hate rolling over and thinking I've overslept so I have to pick up my phone to check it.
I'm thinking of getting the Echo Dot with digital display. I think it does exactly what I need AND I can dim the LED display all the way down.
Any thoughts?
