Had a case like that in Columbia, MD a few years back (link)


wife disappears, guy just happened to do some work on his storage shed. Police ask if they can dig it up, Nope.
Years pass, guy gets married again

more years pass, he leaves her. wife gets the house, this is like 20 years later, Police ask the 2nd ex-wife if they can dig up the shed. She says "yep"

Guy is finally convicted.
