Went back to see the surgeon today. Did appear to be a "mild" case of dry socket. Classic dry socket is just mindblowing pain that doesn't go away. This wasn't nearly that bad, but they still went ahead and treated it like dry socket with a medicated packing that will need to be changed each day for a few days.

Definitely feeling better now. The packing has an awfully strong taste (and I quote "I feel like my mouth has been pepper sprayed. I need milk!"), and her jaw muscles are still sore, but the actual pain seems to be gone.

Next big hurdle is to see if she can actually sleep at night. But things look encouraging for now.
