Odd # of games leads to uneven home schedules

Half the league will play 4 home conference games, the other half 5 home conference games.

9 always seemed like the ideal number to me. 8 conference games in football, and 4 out of conference games. Teams could have up to 7 home games, and 5 away. Teams could play the "warm up" game, G-5 game, and a P-5 game all at home, and then have a P-5 road game.

Then in basketball, you would have seeds 8 & 9 play a Tuesday play in game at #8, and then have the traditional qtrs-semis-finals over 3 days.
