I honestly don't know where the attraction came from.


I just know that from the first time I saw a mid-90s Impala SS, I wanted to own a big, cool looking sedan with awesome rims.

Then the Mercury Marauder came along and just reinforced that opinion.

Marauders and Impala SS's are too expensive, so at some point my brain decided to get a P71, and dress it up nice, and put cool rims on it.

And it's not about what's under the hood. P71s are slow. But because of the cop suspension upgrades, they have a reputation as being an insanely good handling car. and if you find the right one and take care of it, it will last 250k to 300k miles.

I've just always wanted an all-black executive cruiser. And if you buy a P71 and make the right mods, you get exactly that, very cheap.
