NC State vs VT Predictions .

As I reviewed this dual, it is clear that there is little margin for error for VT in this matchup. As I see it the pairings suggest the following
NCS is the favorite in 5 weights: 141, 157, 174, 197, and 285
VT is the favorite in 3 weights: 133, 148, and 165
2 toss-ups: 125 and 184

There appear 2 paths for VT victory here:
(1) 6-4 match result (likely path needed for a VT victory)
(2) 5-5 match result with VT having more bonus although I find this least likely as it would probably take a pin by Andonian or Myers or something to that effect

With the 6-4 path being the most likely, it really comes down to VT winning the matches where they are favorites, winning both toss ups and most likely having Borst beat Wilson. Having said that, here are my predictions:

125/184: too hard to predict so let's go with a split, for the running tab here, let's give Latona the win here 6-5, VT up 3-0.
133: Myers wins with a MD, say 12-4 , VT up 7-0.
141: Wilson with a regular decision, 9-3, VT up 7-3 (Wilson has potential for a bonus pt here)
149: Andonian with a regular decision 12-7, VT up 10-3 (Bryce has a chance for a bonus pt or pin)
157: HH wins with a MD, 14-6, VT up 10-7.
165: Lewis wins 6-3, VT up 13-7
174: Bullard wins 8-5, VT up 13-10.
184: TH wins 6-4, tied at 13
197: Trumble with the decision 9-5, NCS up 16-13 (Trumble is dangerous here)
285: Wilson wins 3-2, NCS wins 19-13 (just the kind of match that Borst loses a tight one)

Hope I am wrong.
