I was a member of the VTU back in the late 60's that determined what groups we would try to get for concerts ---- that year, we students wanted to bring in Steppenwolf because they were very popular --- however, our Faculty Sponsor talked us out of it since Steppenwolf was known for causing a near riot at their concerts (breaking their instruments, cursing, etc --- just what every college kid wanted in those days, TIC!) --- anyway, we had a good time bringing some of the biggest name bands to campus --- whatever happened to College Concerts??? I would still go to hear really good groups.
