Pretty sure the NCAA Regional ‘ selection committee “ uses the regular season ending RPI when seeding the tournament. At mid season the RPI is not a true reflection of the nation’ best teams.( GWU in top 20? Really?) But after the WCWS the RPI is a lot more accurate as to who has the nation’s best softball programs, give or take a handful of slots.
