Walked through The Greenbrier in Umbros, tie-dye and doo rag ------->


This was my typical summer attire in the late 80's. Was in high school heading back from a New River rafting trip with our youth group. Leader wanted to stop to walk through as he had never been there.

First time I can honestly say I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb. Remember walking through The Arcade (shopping mall) and seeing folks decked out in their high dollar threads (Gucci, Ralph Lauren, , kids strolling through in their English tack, including the calf high leather boots, heading back from their morning ride. In the lobby remember seeing a sign by the main dining room requiring a jacket for men at all times and evening dress for ladies in the evening.

Definitely my first experience with real old money.
