True, but I don't recall seeing any news articles that talked about


the possibility of the Marlins and Miami working together with the city on the project. If a working relationship was possible, then I would think there is a possibility that the two parties couldn't agree on the terms of the business relationship. For example, the Marlins could have required Miami pay for a portion of the construction cost or require Miami to sign a lease agreement with unfavorable terms. Plus, I think the was a SEC investigation and a couple lawsuits during the planning phase of the project. Maybe Miami saw the project as being "too hot" for its taste, so it was best for the school to stay clear of it until the heat died down. If the heat died down enough so Miami could reconsider the project, then it could explain Donna's motivation to try to get out of the lease with the Dolphins.
