Might not have. Adrenaline rush? I just vividly remember being behind a

car and seeing a cat run into the road. The car in front of me tried to stop, but really couldn't, and in my car (with 2 passengers) we see the head of the cat on one side of the rear left tire and the tail of the cat on the other side of the rear left tire.....and after getting run over, the cat leaps up and runs off of the street.

In my car, we're all stunned.

"Did you see.....?"
"Yeah"
"The head was on one si...?"
"Yeah"
"And the tail was on the oth....?"
"Yeah"

At which point the back seat passenger says "That cat is already dead, it just doesn't know it yet."
