My granddaughter was a high level travel softball player until she gave it up with COVID. The learning takes place at younger age travel teams. There is minimal individual coaching at the older age, high level teams, where the players often come from 3 or 4 states, which makes practice difficult logistically. The main development comes from playing high level competition. The coach gives a few tips here and there, but a player needs to already be accomplished before joining these teams.
