Thinking High Point is D2 is enough to discontinue this conversation...

But lets play ball...

High Point is in the Big South, same conference that I last coached in. We in the Big South recruited all the same players as James Madison, Elon, UNCW, Charleston and yes, Delaware.

High Point to Delaware is not a step up. It is the definition of a lateral move. Mutts left High Point because his coach was fired. He didnt have the resume (6ppg, 4rpg) to move up, so he went to Delaware and sat a year. Then from Delaware to VT.

Mac went from a middle-of-the-pack Big East team to the National Runner-Up. Yes, Georgetown played in the NCAA Tournament this season, but they were one conference tournament loss away from not qualifying for the NIT, CIT, CBI at all...they were a very bad team who got hot for 3 games and then got blown out in the NCAAs.

Mac became the go-to player on a top 15 team. Georgetown isnt a top-15 team in the Atlantic Region.

For as much as youre dismissive of Mac's NBA prospects as "he hasnt been drafted yet" he also hasnt transferred yet. And my point to bring up the NBA draft projections is that he is a llt closer to being drafted than he is to transferring.

As far as where he is projected. I hate you havent been able to find it, but its right there on literally the best resource for NBA Draft projections NBAdraft.net (I will link below). He is projected in the 50-60 range so even going undrafted means he would likely sign a 2-way contract soon after the draft.

For reference, NBADraft.net is the same site who had NAW pegged in the 12-20 range all throughout his sophomore year when no one else believed he'd be taken in the first round. They got it right...as they usually do.
