True. Basically everything electronic is made at one of a few massive


contract assembly houses in Shenzhen.

But that still means Samsung came up with the design. Sure, it will use many off-the shelf components, but the design of how it all goes together is still up to Samsung. Design integration plays just a big a role in reliability as the individual components themselves. If you use good components but have bad heat management (as one example), you've got something that isn't going to last.
