We bought GE kitchen appliances about 4 years ago...

...when we remodeled our kitchen. I read tons of terrible reviews about Samsung appliances then, so we avoided them. Unfortunately, GE's quality doesn't seem to be much better. Our dishwasher appears to be on its last legs already, as it requires a breaker reset every couple of weeks now. Not sure what that's about, but it can't be a good sign.

Our previous Whirlpool fridge and dishwasher were both probably older than some Loungers, so I fought tooth and nail to keep them for as long as possible. They were still working fine when we sold them on Craigslist. It wouldn't surprise me if they outlast the new appliances we bought.
