We pulled Connolly after 99 pitches. He was still going strong.


I’ve always said, it’s not about the number of pitches. It’s about a guy’s overall arm strength/conditioning, how hard he is laboring, weather (it’s not cold or excessively hot/humid today), and his mental frame of mind when the count gets up there.

I would’ve left him in. Especially w who was coming up for NCSt (two lefties, I believe).
