Interesting case study with Spanish Flu comparison

The country locked down and pushed through the initial wave and got complacent, so that when the second wave hit is has been devastating. So many people, lack of PPE, shortage of vaccines, etc....

When the spanish flu hit 100 years ago India did well in the 1st wave, but similar to this they were absolutely crushed by the 2nd wave. Of the ~50 million that died of the spanish flu, about 1 of every 3 was Indian.

Sad what is going on
