All IoT devices are hackable. You could always be like my great aunt.


She doesn't own a computer, have an email, and only has a flip phone for a cell phone. She never gives out the number and only gives out her house phone---which has no answering machine or VM tied to it. It just rings and rings. She's impossible to get ahold of and can only do her banking in person.

It's a balance of convenience(having an online bank account) and security(not having any online presence but banking for her is a PAIN IN THE A**) and she makes it a pain for anyone that may have to help her since she's in poor health.

I don't want to be like my Great Aunt. Sure, there are risks in IoT and other new tech, but is it worth trying to remain in the stone ages because you're worried about that? There's a difference in concern and fear.
