I don't have a detailed balance sheet or the details of the state's

agreement with Amtrak or Amtrak's budget. What I have is $9.6 million per year to run the route and $10 million in ticket revenue for 2019. (https://newsadvance.com/news/local/ridership-on-area-amtrak-in-decline-during-covid-19-pandemic/article_ec8efaa4-22af-5fc2-abca-9d5a3e946966.html).

I do know that the state pays for everything, equipment, track rental, crew salary, etc related directly to running the line. The state doesn't pay for Amtrak police, scheduling, and dispatching. It wouldn't shock me if the state didn't pay a share in say operating Amtrak's website or 1-800-Amtrak. A lot of that is there anyways from Amtrak's core services, I don't what the incremental cost is with each line you add. I suspect that 9.6M does not include that, but I'm not sure.
