For people who enjoy tailgating before/after the game

it will be interesting to see how many of them opt to take the train to/from games vs. drive there (assuming they can't bring their vehicle with them on the train).

It is possible the rigid departure times may turn people off especially if it requires people to spend the night and hotels continue their policy of a 2-night minimum. Basically, a person could end up paying for 1 night even though they only use the room for 1 night. Assuming the people can't come down on Friday because of work and they take the train to Blacksburg on Saturday with a return trip scheduled for Sunday.

For the record, I do like the plan and I hope it is a success. If it is a success, then hopefully it will lead to more flexibility in the departure times and/or multiple trains running the same route.
