...this evening (so I hadn't seen it when I made my posts earlier), and you won't convince me that these women are imagining their issues, or that they are psychosomatic. If you can look past the website and just listen to these women recount their experiences (this isn't a "my cousins's friend's mom posted on Facebook" type source - these are firsthand accounts), I think you have to say that there should at least be some transparent investigation of what caused their reactions. Instead, these poor women are being cast aside because "there's too much at stake." It reminds me of the saying from the financial crisis of 2008 - "too big to fail". It seems we have collectively put so much reliance on these vaccines to save the day that any semblance of failure will not be tolerated. Anyone who questions the vaccines' safety is to be ostracized and discounted as an extremist nutjob/"anti-vaxxer". Except one of these women actually is an outspoken vaccine supporter and took the shot with the intention of proving to her coworkers that it was safe.

This is the type of information that should be made widely known as people try to decide if they want to get vaccinnated. But instead, the mainstream sources ignore these stories, and so just like these women were unaware of the potential dangers, other people are still in the same boat. And that's what is frustrating me - I'm not in any way trying to stop anyone else from getting vaccinnated, but I AM trying to encourage open conversations about the potential risks so that people who are on the fence at least have some idea of the risks involved.

And to your point about admitting when you're afraid of something - you're damn right I'm afraid of ending up like these women. I would much rather die of COVID than suffer a lifelong neurological disorder that could prevent me from being able to work and take care of my family. I'm at peace with what comes after my physical body dies, and my family will be well compensated by my life insurance policy if I die. But if I'm permanently disabled, it could be a crushing financial blow for my family, as well as a miserable existence for me. So, as a still relatively young man who is in good health, I will take my chances with an illness that I may or may not contract vs. intentionally allowing myself to be injected with a new vaccine technology that has not followed the typical research trajectory and could potentially leave me in worse condition than the virus it is intended to mitigate.

Bottom line - let everyone decide for themself what is best, but let's at least be open and candid about what some people have experienced and not call them crazy simply because we don't understand the vehicle for their injuries.
