Booger just hopes they don't do it. even to 8.

Here's what's dumb about 12. It makes certain schools play an additional game. And additional games have been the justification all these years for NOT having a larger playoff. So for me, if you are going to expand beyond 8, then just do 16. Why would they give teams #5-12 an additional game when after all this time, the mantra was "we don't what to play too many games cuz student athletes." If that's the case, just do 8 and allow every school to have a 13 game schedule.

FWIW, I am against going to beyond 8 UNLESS the the G5 champions also get invited OR there is contraction (getting rid of these ridiculous 14 team conferences). Other than that, I'm fine with 8 if the P5 champs get an automatic bid.

I pretty much agree with Booger in the interview, otherwise. I also agree about his amateur status of athletes take.

That being said, the status quo favors the SEC and both of these guys have an pro-SEC bias.
