The reports I cited are sound.
I still stand by the reports that I cited. The fifty-year study of the 400 boys was a cohort study and that would be the third tier of your pyramid. I contend that a fifty-year study of 400 people is more convincing due to the length of time.
The 300k person / 30 case study meta-analysis referenced in the Daily Mail article would be at the top-tier of your pyramid. I also attached a link to the meta-analysis below. The Daily Mail article did refer to the meta-analysis but it had other information too. The Daily Mail is one of the few HUGE independent media sources so they are not censored by a corporate owner trying to generate sales overseas.
The case review that focuses on the fourteen mass shooters is quite informative but it may not meet your standard. That case review is on some NIH website and it was prepared by two doctors and a lawyer.
Once again, this is a sports board so we want to present information that laypeople can understand. While the case review may not be as reliable, the two studies I referenced are convincing since medical doctors analyzed large numbers of people.
