Also, most round 12 draftees get good $$ & go pro - including HS guys

The Angel's bonus offer to Albright could be pretty hefty - it all depends on how the Angels manage their bonus pool. Looks like they drafted below slot in rounds 1-8, with all those picks ranked by various services either later than where drafted by the Angels or unranked altogether. So they may well have significant $$ to throw at him.

In 2019 - the last comparable year - one guy drafted in round 12 (Avery Short, a HS player ranked #159 that year) received a $925,000 bonus from Diamondbacks. It's also useful to note that 29 out of 30 round 12 guys signed a pro contract that that year. 17 got the $125,000 amount exempt from the bonus pool, while 10 got more (ranging from $140,000 to $585,000, plus Short's $925,000). Only 2 received less than $125,000: 1 got $85,000 and 1 $100,000.

In 2018 it was roughly the same, with 28 of 30 drafted in round 12 signing pro deals. 17 signed for $125,000, 10 signed for more (from $147,500 to $722,500), and 1 signed for $100,000.
