As I explained at the time, I was well and rightly ducked.


Or at least that's what autocorrect says I was.

I was working on a plan to get the car towed to a dealership and have a key made there. Until we figured out a couple problems with that plan. I had both the electronic parking brake engaged, and the car in gear, so no wheels would turn. They might have been able to send a locksmith to get in the car to take it out of gear, but that still left the parking brake. Maybe they could have just dragged the car up onto a rollback, but the parking lot didn't have enough space for that until after it had closed. At which point, the dealership would have been closed too.
