that will be great news for Virginia Tech and NC State. I can see the SEC taking in FSU, Clemson, Tech and NC State to get to 20. The Big 10 will then take UVA, UNC, Duke, GA Tech and Kansas. If Notre Dame wants conference membership for football, they naturally join the Big Ten (Notre Dame is the only non-AAU school they'll accept). If Notre Dame doesn't join the Big Ten, Pitt is most likley the 20th member unless Syarcuse can regain AAU membership. The Pac 12 will probably add Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Iowa State to get to 16. It's anyone's guess what other 4 schools will join to get to 20 members. Boise State, San Diego State, Houston, and UNLV could be in the picture. That leaves all the other P-5 schools without a Power 5 home. I expect the remianing P-5 schools will end up consolidating with the American Athletic Conference. WVU, Baylor, TCU, Miami-FL, Wake Forest, Louisville, Pitt (or Syracuse), BC will join the AAC (USF, UCF, ECU, Cincinnati, Memphis, Tulsa, Tulane, Temple, and SMU. BYU, Colorado State and UConn (unless Pitt or Syrcuse don't get in the B1G) join to make it 20. There will be four 20-member conferences and each conference will be divided in four 5-team divisions. Tech will be in the SEC North Divison with Kentucky, NC State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. UVA will be in the Big Ten South Division with Maryland, UNC, Duke and Georgia Tech. Army, Navy and Air Force will not be invited and neither will schools like Fresno State, Marshall, Hawaii, and maybe UConn (depending on Notre Dame's decison to join a conference as a full member. There you have it. All is now settled. Now you can spend less time on this board and more time doing yard work. ;)
