Alliance is looking at NCAA governance so they may stay connected in some manner but there will likely be significant change.

They can control the timing and length of seasons; add spring football exhibitions; change recruiting rules; all kinds of things.

Elevating women's basketball has also been mentioned. SEC might not give a rip but PAC, ACC, and B1G will push hard to elevate women's sports.

If separated, the G level conferences and others can also make big changes. If the P schools play football in the fall. They can play basketball. Then flip-flop for the spring.
