It's cart and horse.

The hospitals are overwhelmed b/c of a shortage of workers. There's a shortage of workers b/c the policies reduce the employee population. The reduced population increases the burden. The increased burden causes more nurses to quit...

You don't see the cycle here? What's the first thing you do to a hemorrhaging patient? Do you give them blood while they're still bleeding? No, you give them IV fluids and STOP THE BLEEDING.

In this situation firing nurses is akin to cutting another artery. You need to incentivize nurses to stay and to get more to join the ranks.

We talking similarly but you believe in negative reinforcement while I believe in positive. You want nurses to get vaccinated and your heath system to remain intact? Incentivize or positively reinforce those that are vaccinated. If you punish those that won't, you'll be hurting.

All these nurses worked just fine last year. Now they're the dregs of society. What changed? This disease is endemic. It's here. It's not going away. It is not and never was polio, small pox, etc. When we ACTUALLY go back to real science and look at the cost vs benefit (a scientific analysis mind you) of what we're doing to fight this losing battle, we'll adapt and go back to normal.

Until then, everyone PANIC and be ruled by emotion!
