Wonder if VT has losses due to that 'outsmart yourself' strategery

of delaying a winning TD (that didn't happen) in order to take time off the clock?
Regarding 'never going to win a national championship (NC).'- I'd posted here many times after the 1999 NC game that Beamer didn't have the game smarts to win a NC and apparently neither does Fuente. (i.e., Beamer not kicking a field goal late in a game while having a lead because the "kick may get blocked and run back for a TD", or going for failed 2 pointers in the 1999 NC game for no logical reason????-probably helped fire up FSU).
