Maybe some folks are just realists and know


that there will be times when this team, or any VT team for that matter will have to summon the intestinal fortitude to mount a comeback. Do you honestly believe VT should comfortably lead each and every game they compete in? I don't, and never have, although as '99 went along, I have to admit, I did expect to win every game. but this isn't '99, and Michael Vick isn't going to be running onto the field any time soon.

It's not a badge of honor in any way, but it's nice to know they have that type of fight in this team.

VT was in a comeback situation. Lately that has not been the place for VT to be because, well, they usually threw in the towel and last year's Pitt game is the result. This team showed some backbone when they were put in that position. They didn't complete it due to the ineptitude of the coaching staff in those final moments, but I don't put that on the players. They never quit, and as a fan, that is absolutely all I can ask of them. Sure there is a "silver lining" aspect to my opinion, but I'm guessing they might need that same intestinal fortitude down the road this season, and it is a sight more fun to watch them continue to play hard than to roll over and play dead like the last couple of seasons when they get behind by double digits.
