I personally doubt the Alliance group trust each other. Some are trying to box the others in from taking their teams (PAC and ACC vulnerable to losing teams) and I think that is why the Alliance got formed.

It was similar to Virginia Tech trying to get all the Big East schools to sign an agreement they would not leave. Once they knew Miami etc, would not sign it, everyone knew what would eventually happen and it did happen.
