We would basically be playing with house money and even if we lost we would still be ranked top 20 and on track for all of our goals. After the last two weeks I think it is important that we beat them though. Yes yes I know winning the Coastal, but does that really matter? If we are 7-5 and 5-3 in the ACC but we win the Coastal tiebreakers are you guys actually happy about that season? This needs to be a "get right" year where we win at least 9 games and preferably 10, including bowl and potential ACCCG. VT fans need to be able to get back on board and the recruits need to stick. Maybe we can upgrade some assistant spots. Otherwise I think we need to find another head whistle.
