I don't mind the general concept of celebrities going into space


And I agree that Captain Kirk actually going into space is kinda cool.

But I think the media fawning over these events is WAY over the top. You'd think Jeff Bezos were Neil Armstrong the way they hyped it up, it feels artificial. Like its being used as a distraction from something actually important.
