No it’s not. Few schools have moved up/down recruiting tiers in many yrs


In fact, I’d argue that most hires where recruiting prowess was a hiring highlight have ended up being mediocre or outright failures. You hire a good coach first and foremost.

For the most part, those programs which have moved up appreciably, it hasn’t been because they hired a great recruiter for HC. It’s because the program came into a lot of moneylike Oregon.

Clemson is maybe a bit of an outlier, but not really that much. They recruited well before Dabo.
