Just my opinion. Some of those lines fielded from around '94/'95 up through 2000 were pretty nasty. He had a hand in all that recruiting and coaching that went into those guys.

I remember the comment about stunts - that was definitely a Newsome coached line. It was after the Charlotte game against ECU. Hot as blazes, I was in the stands, and had moved to ATL by then. Stiney had not been responsible for the line for a while, except whatever oversight the OC would have over the line coaching.

Like I said, with the right supporting cast, I've always thought Stiney would do well somewhere with the big whistle. Then again, I could do well with the right supporting cast around me, so that's kind of needed no matter who is in there. Heck, Fu would do better with a better OC and QB coach, if only he'd pull the trigger.
