until at least 2025 and very possibly forever. The other Conferences don’t want to see 5-6 SEC teams in the playoff. It will do what NASCAR did and make it a heavily regional sport.

Since the unanimous vote for any change has to be by January, it’s likely the earliest for change is 2025. The only change I see that could happen with a chance, is highest ranked Conference Champions getting in and that’s the opposite of what ND/SEC want.
