On average there are only around thirty 5-star recruits nationally per year


Of those 5-star recruits, two-thirds of them are usually snatched by just six schools (Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, FSU, LSU). The other 10-12 kids are then spread out among a few remaining high profile programs such as A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, and Michigan, among a couple others. That’s it for the five star guys.

Only about a third of all 5-star recruits pan out.. the rest disappear into obscurity.
