Its really harder for big men to adjust to the flow of the game. So all of the things you see them do confidently in workouts or in high school are significantly slowed by the brain trying to process the right thing to do.

It seems MY has combatted this in Ojiako by saying "listen big fella, tou have one read, if you have the ball in the post and theres no help, put him in the rim"

It looked rough at times, but its most definitely the best thing for his development. Give him more reads very slowly as he masters simple tasks.

Same with Kidd. He is just behind even more. He needs to catch the ball first, then take a pause and read.

But even before that he needs to know what the set calls are, the actions and where he needs to be so he doesnt clog up everyone else. When your brain is thinking about all of those things, when you get the ball it can kind of surprise you and you start to rush.
