I don't get it. He should have finished the season.


I now wonder if Fu wanted to quit at 5-5 since he could see a possible losing record on the horizon. I don't think the guy needs to or will ever work in football again BUT having three losing seasons as a VT head coach might look bad on his resume.

I'm just mad that Babcock didn't force Fuente to finish the season. The buyout dropped to $7.5M on December 16th and the buyout only dropped to $8.75M per yesterday's deal. There is no benefit to Tech for Fuente to leave before December 16th unless the replacement is hired before December 16th.
