coming off the highway, I was just coming off the cloverleaf on the other side. What was he going to do, come back on to the highway headed the wrong way and do a U to get going in the right direction again? Or more to the point, what would have happened if I had just come off the highway in the same direction which I do ~ 40mph w/this car 90 degrees to the road? Trees in the middle of the cloverleaf so you can't see that far ahead. Borrowing your post, had to get the in, I've never seen that before.

It had occurred to me that perhaps he took to too fast and had spun out and I only got a glimpse of his recovery.

Was the guy actually in the highway lane or riding along the usually wide lapel?
